Many years ago I took the photos used for the cover and sleeve of this album. I remember that shoot well, I didn’t really know what the hell I was doing. The end result turned out good, I believe Robert was the one who did the artwork.
I’m huddled up in the north for xmas and the year is coming to an end. Makes one reflect over the past year and all the things you’ve seen and been through, all the people you’ve met and gotten to know. It makes you think what next year will bring. Life keeps getting better by each year. This has so far been the best one.
Reflecting also made me go over my photos over the year. Sometimes you just need time to see what you’ve actually captured. Sometimes the best photo is the one you thought was the worst from the beginning. I will try to post more these last couple of days of 2009.
Here’s Johanna, one of the most active photographers I know. Her fingers are glued to cameras and she works them well. Here she is on the staten island ferry. Top picture is the Lower Manhattan-skyline overlooking FiDi.
This series of Simon was shot on halloween. I rarely put up a lot of photos from the same session. This was totally unprepaired though. Just happened, like usual, to have my camera with me, goofing around.
